There seems to have been an update to Word proofing tools. The Review Tab options now look different, and the spelling and grammar results now how in a right-side column called Editor. I don’t like that display but my major problem is that Readability Statistics now longer appear for either Check Document or when I select the Word Count option.

I’ve read everything I can online, including here on MS, about this problem, and everything in my Statistic setup and options seem to be correct. I am using US English as my language and have the latest version of W A big update to my W happened last week, and the problem has appeared since then.

I have Officel which I’ve had for a few years. I can’t remember if microsoft word 2016 readability statistics free for Home of Business. I have 5 licenses for it, statiistics I think it’s for business. Everything on that sub-list is checked. Given that Frre selected to have them ,icrosoft, why don’t Readability Statistics appear for my documents, new ones or old ones?

Thank you for your issue mmicrosoft. The information has been passed along to the Editor Pane team. They have acknowledged that the issue with being unable readabi,ity see Readability Statistics is a known problem that they are working to resolve. However, they also noted that they do not recommend switching between the new Editor Pane and the old Spelling and Grammar experience as it can cause Word to crash in some instances.

I don’t want to use the new Editor Pane at all. It’s terrible–what it replaced worked great. I’ll never use it given the choice, and right now I’m very happily using the readagility Spelling and Grammar.
